Right before church we got to chime in on our skype video chat with my family and my brother eric who is on his mission in england. It was hard to hear everything cause all the grandkids were trying to talk to eric etc. But it was so fun to hear his voice and the cutest little english accent too! I just wanted to listen to him talk. It was great to see him and made me miss him more! WE love our Eric and so happy he will be home in may! I can't believe it has almost been two years!
boys got rollerblades and LOVE them! They try to practice in my kitchen cuz one, it was cold outside and two, the roads here are not very smooth, so they have to do it on sidewalk and that is scarce here too! I told brad we should do a cement or paved walkway all around our yard just so the kids can have somewhere to rollerblade and scooter and then i could just get up in the mornings, while kids still sleeping and do laps around my yard instead of trying to take them running with me! In my dreams...some day huh?
D gettin' down with the new guitar! He has actually learned one chord now, but still has a hard time strumming. I am learning right along side with him, so it is kind of fun.
J got a "hunting gun" and was posed like this practically all morning...shooting the "big buck" on the wall! It was really cute!
B and I didn't do a lot for each other, cause we really want to landscape more and i want to repaint etc etc etc so, he did get me some fresh flowers under the tree and that has by far been my favorite christmas present since we've been married! I love flowers!
J was so excited cause he got those handi-snack cracker/cheese snacks in his stocking! I love the look on his face!
Baby's first Christmas! She didn't know what was going on, but sure looked cute in her new jammies.
We started this tradition two years ago...we block off hallway completely and then the kids have to knock down through it to see what santa has brought. It has been so fun to watch! Here it is, getting knocked down...the before pick is somewhere in this post of pics!
We started another tradition this year...got the idea from a lady in our ward...MAGIC PILLOWCASES! I made them, they put them on their pillows every Christmas Eve and the magic fairy dust (glitter) helps them sleep at night for santa to come! Anyway, there is a really cute poem that you read with it. I will have to find it again and post that. The kids loved these!
Daddy got all the kids fun winter hats from his work! And here is hers...i was so intent on getting her things that weren't pink, just because she has so much of it...then that morning as she opened her things...i did good alright on not getting any pink...i got everything in PURPLE!!! not meaning too either! So, now we are good on those two colors!!! Sheesh!
Christmas morning!
Christmas Eve Jammies...the kids loved my polka dots...i'm not too sold on them! I got the boys basketball outfits, then they can sleep in them or wear them to school or games etc. They were ecstactic!!!
Their new pj's!
opening Christmas eve present
here is the hallway blocked off, i really really like this tradition! and it keeps them from sneaking in to see what santa brought early!!! hee hee
here is our Christmas, it was fun, and no one was sick this year!!! So we really enjoyed our time together and the kids loved what they got!
