Oh what a beautiful mornnnnnnn-ing! Oh what a beautiful day...
Today has been a lovely day. We went out side in t-shirts and pants and were so comfortable. D even said he was Hot at one point...oh dear.
Yes we are still jobless, but we just keep pluggin' away, hoping we will hear from something, soon. In the meantime, we have enjoyed B being home. We had a free one week pass to the new community center, so we signed up to use it on monday. We took the kids swimming on monday and tuesday and they have just loved it. We hope to go again on friday and saturday. B n I want to go and try the rock climing wall maybe on friday too.
B has also finished up a lot of "honey-do" list items, on his own free will. I think he is just so stir crazy that he has to feel like he is doing something! And I don't mind at all. ;)
We got baby chicks almost four weeks ago and just moved them outside to their coop that B has so diligently been working on. He also built a compost thing-a-ma-jig. He did a good job i think. The kids names the chicks: Batman, scratch, racer, pecker and di-egg-o.
Sorry I haven't posted pics lately about all of these things. sheesh, i haven't even posted valentines day. SORRY! I will upload load those soon and get them on here.
We are doing well. I started being serious about running this week. I did 2.8 miles on M, W and plan to on friday too. I am going to do that 5K on the 28th of march. I was stoked on monday, cause i thought i had only done 1.5 miles but was confused on my calculations, so i got in my car and clocked it... 2.8 MILES!!! I was so excited. That is the most i've done ever!
Well, brad will be working with our brother in law for the next two weeks on a house, so that will bring in a little money, but nothing permanant yet. We've had many people concerned about us, bringing us food many times, offering to take the kids, etc. We've appreciated every bit of it and realized we needed to humble ourselves and except these acts of service graciously and with a smile. Thanks again to everyone for their concerns and prayers. We love you and know we will make it through this, right now we are just enjoying B home for the most part and I am really trying to hit the running again, since he's home to watch the kids...besides, if anything, it is a great stress reliever for me, so even more motivation!
WE love you all. We are doing well and taking it day by day. I will get those pics up soon.

Applying for Jobs - A question to ponder
Since Brad has been laid off, we are diligently looking for SOMETHING to provide for the family. Today there were some hirings for The Home Depot. We thought, what the hay, so we applied. During the application process they make you answer questions as part of an Employment Test. There was a question that perplexed us and we weren't quite sure how to answer it...ya ready??? Okay, here it is, word for word, from their "Test"
I Disagree with people a lot
a. Strongly disagree
b. Disagree
c. Neither
d. Agree
e. Strongly Agree
How funny is that question? Obviously Brad doesn't disagree with people a lot, but how on earth are you suppose to answer that question. It just seemed super funny to Brad and I.

Brad Out of Work...
So, this last weekend kind of threw our family for a BIG loop! Around noon on friday, brad was informed he was being laid off at that moment. He does get two weeks severence pay, but they refuse to pay him his vacation days he had stored up...still working on that issue.
Our famliy is experiencing feelings of sadness, anger, scared, anxiety, but then happiness sometimes too. Not that he's lost his job, but through more diligent prayer and fasting we have been able to feel some sort of comfort...off and on. We are stressed to the max, and I am terrible with stress, so i have to keep reminding myself not to take it out on brad or the kids. We are a family against this trial, not against eachother.
Brad has been applying, for what is out there, which isn't much. He did get the unemployment filed and that will pay our house payment until something comes up. I have my piano money to help with other bills and groceries etc. We have a sweet sister in law who dropped off oodles of items for the house, pantry, and fridge. Along with a CD set of our last general conference, which has helped lift my spirit so much. Yes times are hard, no i don't want to be going through this right now, but with a foundation and faith and enduring through this, we will have become better people in the end. We are not sure what we are suppose to learn from this but are willing and EAGER to find out. ;)
If anyone knows or hears of a job that might be good for brad, send the info our way. Thanks to everyone for their prayers and support. We know these acts of kindess are answers to our prayers and keeps us going and building our faith in Jesus Christ and the being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Thanks to all! We will keep you posted.
