Dalton turns FIVE!

Dalton's birthday was yesterday, the 4th. We started out the day, bright and early, having breakfast & presents with dad before he went to work for the day. Dalton wanted a ninja turtle birthday, and what to ninja's love to eat??? Pizza of course! So, we had "breakfast pizza" tortilla with scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, cheese, and bacon on top!

He got some hotwheels and the beast bash hotwheels, some shirts, shoes, a tie, some workbooks for "school time", ninja turtle weapons sais, and let's not forget the batman mask that he is modeling in so well!

Here is the gange of ninja's that came to his party. We made our own pizza's, while those cooked we played the pizza find, whoever found the most won, then we did a pizza toss (pic of pizza taped to frisbee), whoever threw it the furthest won. Then we ate and did presents. He got a cute BBQ bubble blower set, lego racer car set, checkers game and pirate dress up stuff. Gpa Jones also came over later that night and gave him his very own REAL cowby shirt with the fancy buttons 'n all! Now he and Coleman have their REAL cowboy shirts to go with their wranglers, boots and hats for the rodeo in two weeks! We are so not cowboys, it's funny they are so facinated with the idea of being one! Boys will be boys!

He was so thankful for everything and told brad when he got home that his party was "awesome"! He is growing to a "real" boy and it is so bittersweet. I don't know if i am ready to be a mom of BIG kids...I just can't believe I have a 5 year old already and that he will be going to school next year!

Awe that is so cute! Happy B-day D!

Well, jennie, to be totally honest, right now there is no other way for us to manage our money. We HAVE TO do this plan. We honestly can't even put into our emergency fund right now but we do have one. I do admit that sometimes I spend more than I should at the grocery store but seriously I just have to make a better goal next time I am there. It is hard but I am feeling like it is the only way for us to be prepared especially with the stupid economy here. I really wish I could garden and be more self sufficient that way and save but I can't where we live right now. And it helps that I don't have a car to go anywhere and tempt myself:)

Anyway, about your idea... we would love to! Seth and I have not been to the temple since Sue's Wedding and even then it was forever ago! I don't know how long I will last in a session with this bladder but for sure, we would do it! Give me a call! Oh and sorry about your allergies to the deer mount! I am so sick of allergies right now!
