Okay, so i have tried uploading photos for almost a week now and it just freezes up!!! Anyone else having this problem???
Anyway, our ongoings...
My brother Eric left on his mission the end of may to the England, London South Mission. He is loving is and said it is a very diverse country. Lots of cultures!!!
We had family pictures done with everyone before eric left on his mission. Those are the pics i keep trying to upload, but it just won't let me...
Then i had girls camp the beginning of june. It was windy, windy and windy. My face felt sandblasted, seriously like i had rubbed it with sandpaper, when i got home. It was that awy for a few days. WE had to clean off our bedding each night because the dust got in our tents so bad. The wind broke my tent and another leaders. Anyone know where i could get a replacement tent pole??? Having a hard time finding where.
I just had my recital last week. 20 piano students, only 18 came, but it was a lot of fun. The recital turned out really well, people showed up on time and all looked so good. They performed well and loved the awards at the end. It was a lot of work, but so fun to see the kids perform there songs.
And sorry, i DO NOT have photos of any of the above as our camera died at easter time and i have not yet been able to replace it. Ugh. I have it video taped etc, but no still shots.
Our fourth of July was fun. Brad got the day off which was a treat since those are few and far between. We could have gone out of town, but we were responsible and stayed home to work on yard and new chicken coop. The baby chickens are too big for the cage in brad's shed, so we had to build a bigger one to fit our old 5 chickens and the new 5 baby chickens. So we got a lot done. We took the kids to home depot for the kids workshop and they made there periscopes which they LOVE!!! They loved that there dad was actually able to go and build with them. Then we did water games at the park, then napped and workd on coop etc. Then we went to dinner at the park, they had a dance from like 8-10 like line dancing, then they did fireworks. So the kids slept very well from playing so hard and being out in the sun so much.
Now i am trying to get class reunion finished up. that will be done on the 31st...HOORAY...and i will never take on such a task again. i just stress way too much. Then a week and half after that school starts up again down here. Coleman is more than OVERLY excited to start going and dalton is so excited to eat lunch there and have more recess. Jeric and I will just be buddies for the first half of the day. It will be fun.
So, there's our update. We have a reunion coming up in a couple of weeks a brad got two days off for that, so we are WAY excited to be with him that long, and at the cabin too! Our favorite place to be. ;)

I'm a slacker!
So, i know, i haven't haven't updated in forever again! I am just so busy and trying to limit to computer time so that i am more productive these days. ;)
We have a lot going on and lot's of pictures to post. Up until about easter...my camera won't take pictures anymore, it just stopped right after i took pics of kiddos with their baskets. ;( So, that is on our list to get SOON.
We are getting a killer tax return! Woo hoo! We have already come up with THOUSANDS of things to do with it, but are sticking to our original plan, from before we knew how much we were getting back! We are keeping out $500 to do some more food storage and then we are paying the rest, yes ALL OF IT off to our 2nd mortgage debt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are tired of buying things we want NOW and then hating ourselves later for not paying off debt. So we are really doing it this time...if i keep paying piano money to the loan and then if we get a good return next year and our saving stays where it is at...then we will pay a large chunk next year too. We are hoping to have it paid off in two years!!! This tax return helped us in our goal MORE than you can understand! So excited to be out of debt for everything besides the house! Hooray!
We have a crazy summer coming up. I have girls camp in 5 weeks...and they say we will be camping in the snow? I just think that's wrong...just wrong. So pray and hope like we are that they change the location. ;) We are countries and i ahve been working on lining up penpals for our YW with YW from leeds, England. It should all be done by next week, so i hope the girls enjoy this experience.

Then I have girls camp, then wilson reunion, then youth conference, then my class reunion i am in charge of and then school starts for the kids again! How wrong is that, for summer to already feel like it will go by so quickly?!?!?! I must enjoy every minute though...as D and C will both be in school this year and i will just have Baby J home. That will be weird.
I hope to run some kind of race this summer and my plans for the 1/2 didn't work out, since i got sick for like 2 monhts! But i am bound to do something.
We planted turnips, beets, carrots, eggplant, tomatoes, green beans, lettuce and spinach in our garden and all are doing well. Little buggers were eating all of my beet green off, so i saved what i could by covering them with quart jars. Brad laughed at me at first, but now he not anymore, they lived and are thriving! I planted a second crop though since i lost so many.
We LOVE LOVE LOVE our grass in the backyard!
The kids, this last weekend did a "Tuff Kids" bike ride. D did 2 miles with dad and C did the safety course like 25 times and then we went around a track 2x. they both had so much fun. The event was free and then they got a free shirt, free $20 helmet, and an ice cream cone at the end of their riding. they loved it and we are doing it again next year. maybe mom will try to ride a bike next time, even though she really dispised bike riding. ;)
Of course i don't have many pics as our camera is dying. But i did get 1 of D and brad's mom took some of them at her house after the fact.

TOTALLY AWESOME - Bountiful Baskets!!!
So my cousin's wife tabitha has done this for quite a while, down in AZ and i just thought it was an AZ thing. Then i found out my aunt Julie tried it, which means it is in my area. The first week i missed the sign ups at www.bountifulbaskets.org so i was bummed. But this week i got it and picked it up today!
It is a co-op. you purchase a "basket" online for $15/coventional or $25/organic on your assigned day for your state you are in. Then, it gives you a pick-up location and time for saturday mornings. It is all volunteer based. It is crazy cool!!! For the first time it costs 19.50 but after that it will be 16.50 each week you CHOOSE to do it. That's the nice thing, you don't have to do it every week if you don't want to...but believe me, you will want to!
You get all of the FRESH produce above for that price. It varies each week, but most of it is basic stuff we normally eat. You can't choose what is in your basket. My aunt said she got sweet potatoes and baby carrots her week. This week we got everything above (+ three more apples the little munchkins ate), for only 16.50!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
apples, oranges, pears, asparagus, zucs, cucumbers, cabbage, bananas, 2 boxes blueberries, 1 lb strawberries, 2 spinach bunches, two BIG bunches leaf lettuce.
You've just got to try it out!!! See if they have it in your area, it is so cool and you can actually afford to eat healthier at these prices!!! Good luck and give it a try!!!
